| Measurement
Excellence and Training Resource Information
Center: The Measurement Excellence and Training
Resource Information Center (METRIC) is
the fourth and most recent addition to
the VA Health Services Research & Development
Service. METRIC has been charged with improving
the overall measurement quality in VA research.
Improving measurement means that researchers
can more accurately capture the health,
social and economic condition of the veterans
who use the services of the Veterans Health
Administration. Sound and thorough measurement
methods in VA research result in studies
that produce reliable data. Sound data
enables VA organizations to improve the
quality of care for veterans by making
evidence-based decisions in the form of
clinical, organizational or system-level
modifications. |
